Last year I made a rough draft of my bucket list and blogged about it. Over the past year, I have added some things here and there. This past weekend, I wrote everything down and and made my first official bucket list! The list is as follows:
Go on a road trip without knowing the destination
Go parasailing
Visit the Amazon Rain Forest
Visit Ireland.
Visit Alaska.
Go kayaking.
Save a life.
See the Northern Lights.
Fly a kite.
Go to Bora Bora
Reach 100% debt freedom
Go skiing
Learn to speak French
Visit the Serengeti National Park
Run a marathon
Hike the Appalachian Trail
Visit Stonehenge
Scuba dive in the Great Barrier Reef
Learn ballroom dancing
Spend New Year’s Eve in Times Square
See a moonbow
Visit Victoria Falls
Swim with the dolphins
Get a tattoo
Send a message in a bottle
Watch a meteor shower
Spend a Christmas in England
Do you have a bucket list? What's one thing (or more than one thing) on your list that is very important for you to accomplish in your lifetime?
You have some traveling to do!
ReplyDeleteNever really thought about a bucket list, but I would like to visit New Zealand and see all the place where LOTR was filmed.
Hmmmm. I'll have to think about it some more...... not sure how to start the list or, once started, how to END it (the list, not my life)
ReplyDeleteYour first item intrigues me most. I'm such a control freak; taking a roadtrip without a destination in mind would be totally out of character for me and very freeing as well, I think.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your list!
You must really want to see Ireland. It's on your list twice. : ) It seems you should start with that one.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a bucket list at all. Sometimes people are actually a little amazed at that. I don't really get the appeal but I am glad people have a way to keep track of all the things they want to do. I've even seen websites where people post their bucket lists and other people help them do it. It's pretty cool to see.
ReplyDeleteGreat list, I want to go to Alaska too and see the Northern Lights and be in Times Square at NYE.
ReplyDeleteIt makes me smile that you want to spend a Christmas in England's, why is that? You do realise it's likely to be cold and miserable right? I don't have a bucket list, maybe I should make one.
That's a nice list, man. I've got an unofficial list in my head and i have actually scratched a few off so far by visiting Yellowstone and Niagara Falls. There's more to come...
ReplyDeleteI have done 7 of yours.......but which 7.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great list you have. Several of mine match yours. Running a marathon is my most immediate one, I think.
ReplyDeleteI blogged my list a few months ago (nothing like as ambitious as yours!) and it's really satisfying to achieve things you want to do. Maybe if I think of things I want to do in my lifetime, rather than just in the next year, I'll raise my sights to more amazing things : )
ReplyDeleteNo, I don't have a bucket list. My goal now is to live one day at a time thoughtfully.
ReplyDeleteJust to find some joy in each and every day I wake up on this side of the sod.
ReplyDeleteNope, no bucket lists as I think they are dumb. I do what I want and that is that. But having no debt would surely be nice.
ReplyDeleteyou list 'visit ireland' twice. might have to do that one soon. :)
ReplyDeleteYour bucket list is inspiring! I don't have an official bucket list--yet. But I have written down some things I want to do before I die, and I have a mental list. You've inspired me to get cracking on making a complete list!
ReplyDeleteI want to publish at least one book, compete on Jeopardy, visit another country, read an essay on NPR, visit Alaska, etc.
When I was 25 I made a list of ten things I wanted to do in life--this was before it was called a bucket list. I've done several of them so far; a few had to tossed (I discovered they don't let women run with the bulls in Pamplona, for instance...), and as time goes by, I've added some new things, too.
ReplyDeleteYour list is very doable...even going to Ireland twice! ;D
I don't really have a bucket list but I did plan to hike some of the Pacific Crest Trail. I did a little piece once in the vicinity of Mt. Rainer once. Hiking is out for me now as I can no longer carry pack or walk distances. Still a friend and I found a place near a road where we can get on the PCT and we are planning a walk and a picnic on it. Your first item is intriguing; I'd love to get in my van and just go. Maybe you can go to Ireland and rent a car and follow your nose. Sort of two-fers.
ReplyDeleteI don't get the bucket list thing...do what you can do as the occasion arises - vacation coming up? Then go where you have a crazy mad desire to go - if you can afford it. Of course nothing on your list is extraordinary and there is no reason you can't accomplish most of them and still be debt-free!
ReplyDeleteI don't have a bucket list. I can't think of anything that I'd want to do.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a bucket list so I really appreciate the variety and adventure of your list. My 2 favorites are a moonbow and the northern lights. I dance every day, does that count?
ReplyDeleteHugs
Alaska is beautiful. The Auroras are on my bucket list. While sledding.
ReplyDeleteYou had better get started. That's a long list.
ReplyDeleteHave a terrific day. ☺
Like most of the people above I don't have a bucket list - is this a good or bad thing - does it mean I am boring, self-satisfied and unambitious - or rather that I am happy with my life as it is and most things like those on your list are unachievable due to the cost etc. (One on your list I have achieved - I am debt-free).
ReplyDeletegood luck! hope, your dreams will come true :) Traveling is amazing :)
ReplyDeleteGreat list! Hope you get to do them all. :)
ReplyDeleteLet's see: I've watched a meteor shower, I've flown a kite, I have a tattoo, and I've been to Times Square on New Year's Eve. I've never been to Bora Bora but have always wanted to go.
ReplyDeleteThe most important thing on my current list is to get the hell out of Texas while I'm still alive!
Ditto- To go on a road trip without knowing the destination
ReplyDeleteTo get a Tattoo
Its good to have a bucket list...
I noticed that you had Ireland on your list twice. Absolutely. You should. It's a wonderful country with super friendly people. I've never written down a bucket list although there are some on your list that would clearly be on mine. I do have a travel list in my head, but not written down (maybe I should...). A friend loaned me the Dave Ramsey Money Makeover book and it is totally do-able. She and her husband are debt free except for their house and that will be paid off in 8 years!!!! I"m excited to start that part of my challenge in life.
ReplyDeleteI have a bucket list, especially for you, Keith. At the top of my list, cause I'm so altruistic, is a lifetime's supply of chocolate doughnuts, for you, my friend, just for you! :)
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, if you do spend a Christmas in England, please let me know. I'll arrange the parade in your honour (honor)!
Funny, three years ago I really had a bucket list! I got the "Big C" and was given a 40% chance to survive! Better odds than Vegas and I beat them. My bucket list was not about traveling, I have done a lot of that. It wasn't about acquiring things, I already have more than I can carry. I was 63 at the time and my list consisted mainly to satisfy my curiosity of how I came to be what I am. Who was this guy the cancer was trying to kill? The cancer is gone and I am still trying to answer that question.
ReplyDeleteI share "Learn to speak French". So far I've learned to read and write it a bit, but speaking French --that's hard! Good luck, Keith!
ReplyDeleteno my list is not very adventurous---i hope you get to all of your list----:)
ReplyDeleteYou have a few items on your bucket list that are appealing to me. I'd love to spend a Christmas in England and visit Ireland as well.
ReplyDeleteAnd you're not going to PT? :o
ReplyDeleteBut that's quite a list and great plans.
Take care my friend!
Love your list Keith, I hope you get to accomplish every one.
ReplyDeleteTwo of mine: visit Cape Cod and get more books published. The first might take a while, the second I'm working on, furiously!!!!
Happy Week, G
PS: Can I say it again, I LOVE your blog! :<)
This is a very nice list! I personally want to spend time in England.
ReplyDeletewww.modernworld4.blogspot.com
I sort of have one. Mine are more projects I want to create. I sometimes wish I had more time.
ReplyDeleteAwesome. I love your screen name, by the way. (That's what brought me here.) I've done some of the things on your list. Mine includes hang gliding, living in India, and getting a musical on Broadway. (Nothing too ambitious.) ;P
ReplyDeleteI can't say I have a specific Bucket list for life, but I do have one for summer: Sell House & Move, Go to Cedar Rapids (a theme park my husband RAVES about), FISH enough to feed the whole family for one meal, Garden an impossibly awesome garden, and have a great set of birthdays for myself and the hubs.
ReplyDeleteGood luck as you traverse your list!
I love your list!
ReplyDeleteI make a list of wishes and goals every year, but I usually avoid making lists of "big dreams" because I tend to dream too much and get disappointed with reality. But that does not stop me to continue listing these dreams on my mind. One of my biggest dreams since I was very young is know Cambodia and Egypt, and the largest of them all is to live in Scotland.
I also want to know Amazon, my father is living near there by now, I hope to visit it soon.
Never thought about the saving a life one! Im waiting for the kids to leave before I attempt adventuresome vacays, they are already whining about the prospect of going to Cuba nest year!
ReplyDeleteGood for you for making the list! I've checked off a few things on mine so far (seeing Kenny G was on there-don't be a hater-LOL) and made plans to see the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade live this year which has was tops on my list. Then, all I have to do is visit Australia and I will die a happy woman.
ReplyDeleteI lived in the amazon region for 9 years in a city ned Belem do Para. I camped in the forest, I took little boats to visit an island named Algodoal while fresh water dolphins followed us, I watched the dance carimbo by the biggest river my eyes have ever seen an ate some pretty exotic foods. I love that place like home. If you ever have the opportunity go. The only thing I advise tourists against doing is feeding the pink dolphins. People don't realize that way we take their natural fear of humans and it makes easier for poachers to kill them.
ReplyDeleteThe Amazon is amazing as are the Northern Lights. Hope you get to do some of the adventures you want to.
ReplyDeleteGreat list! Mine is here..
ReplyDeletehttp://xkerryw.blogspot.co.uk/p/bucket-list.html
I'm about to tick off another one on my list, live in a camper van!
Kerry x
Lots of great things on your bucket list! One of my bigger items on my bucket list is to ring the opening bell at the NY stock exchange! I think it would be so cool :)
ReplyDeleteNow, I already have 4 tattoos. granted my mother knows of 2.
ReplyDeleteI've swam with doliphins, but I am down, absolutely down to do ALL OF THOSE with you.
Keep me in mind;)
This is an interesting list, for sure!! A good mixture, too. Some are very doable, while others would be harder. Hmmm...I have never had this kind of list, I kind of go with the flow, watch closely for fun opportunities, then take them. Like this weekend and last. We went to the opera, a puppet dhow, walked with monsters made with help from the Jurrasic Park team, went to a ball game, and checked out the openings of two new stores. Looking at YOUR list, I have always wanted to visit Ireland, and see the Northern Lights. We have visited Foamhenge, which is an exact replica of Stonehenge, and we do fly kites and radio controlled gliders. Which of these are you going to do in the near future???
ReplyDeleteI'm not *into* bucket lists. the older one gets, the scarier they sound. -grin-
ReplyDeleteBut you are young, so they don't sound scarey to you.
But I have done some things, I'd never have thought, I would.
Mmmm, do you really need a tattoo?
-grin-
"Auntie"
Not into them either, but that is a fun list
ReplyDeleteWow Keith that is quite the list. I honestly do not have a bucket list I have things I would love to do but not to worried if I do them or not. I like to think of it as me being happy and settled and going with the flow:) Great list though. B
ReplyDeleteI would really like to visit Ireland and Italy. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's a great list, and all are very attainable goals! I really want to visit Ireland and England. Foreign travel is #1 on my bucket list.
ReplyDeletenice...i def have some traveling on my list...many of the same places...and that road trip sounds pretty awesome...i will def be doing that...
ReplyDeletemaybe i should make a bucket list as well, but there's so much i want to do.. you must be really keen on going to ireland as it's on the list twice! x
ReplyDeleteTop of my list is Route 66 on a Harley!
ReplyDeleteI share many aspirations with you! It seems you have a deep love for traveling and experiences. (Btw, you've got "visit Ireland" up there twice.)
ReplyDeleteOn my honeymoon, we visited my new uncle-in-law's home, and he has a map on his wall with colored pins marking the locations that he and his partner have traveled to. If I hadn't already had the itchy wandering and traveling feet that I do, that would definitely have planted a big, fat "I want to travel" seed!
really great bucket list!! i have some similar dreams :)
ReplyDeletei love bucket lists...except every time that i read someone else's i end up adding stuff to my own so it keeps getting longer instead of shorter!
ReplyDeleteyour bucket list is adventurous and full of travel and fun! I kind of have a travel one, with no firm plans on when to execute!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great list. I hope you fulfill it! There are a few things I'd like to do, but I haven't really made a final list. The number one thing would be to travel. A lot!
ReplyDeletei do have a bucketlist. my one thing that must get accomplished is to see the aurora borealis! but i do enjoy crossing off little things of it as well :)
ReplyDeleteOh, yes I have one, apart from many other lists formed mainly by projects that I expect to develop some day and goals that I want to reach, books that I want to read or makeovers at home that I am planning. Yes I love lists! Even when I try to live fully what comes to meet me, and expect nothing, I think that a person can (should?) dream
ReplyDeleteBut the bucket list is somehow the ultimate list of my dearest wishes. I think it´s much longer that yours even when I have achieved some of them already, I have added a few new ones. But lately I´ve thinking of checking it out and make a reduced version, sometimes we need to simplify.
Anyway, some of your aspirations have been (or still are) in my list too. I have visited the Amazon Forest, it´s truly amazing and so beautiful, but I still have to swim with dolphins. And also, cultivate my own garden, live in Italy for a while, visit the antarctic glaciers...
If you want to do all these things you won't be 100% debt-free.
ReplyDeleteJust saying! :-)
Joking aside, that was a fun post. Half the things I would like to and the other half I don't know if I could manage.
Greetings from London.
Great list, Keith. Swim with dolphins! I'd love to do that.
ReplyDeleteGreat list Keith, no I do not have a list
ReplyDeleteOH MY GOODNESS! It definitely made my day to read this because I started making my bucket list last night when I realized one of the things I did over the weekend was something I wanted to do my whole life. I too want to go to Bora Bora and I also want to get a tattoo, but the latter I know I will never do. I might have to follow the leader and do a bucket list post soon! :) Thanks for the inspiration, dear friend!
ReplyDeleteI have a relatively small bucket list that I actually intend to blog about on or about my 50th birthday. Things I would like to accomplish... :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck on fulfilling your bucket list.
The number one thing on my list is traveling to Portugal, but I will work on some smaller ones first :)
nice bucket list...I've actually done some of them....I guess at this point in my life I'd like to
ReplyDelete1. be debt free
2. Therefore enabling me to be carefree...
3. and Travel more often with my sweetie pie
Great post! Have a wonderful day!
You have many of the same things on your list that I do: meteor showers (I did view that tiny one with my folks awhile back, but I want to see BIG one away from city lights), swim with dolphins, see the northern lights, etc. We accomplished one thing this month: our house is now paid off! That will make some of our other wishes more attainable. One thing I'd really like to do is rent a some beach cottages in Cape Cod, or maybe Sanibel Island, or even Hawaii somewhere and have all the kids and grandkids come. I say beach houseS because my husband and I are very neat, and half of the kids are not. I'm thinking it would be best if each family had their own space.
ReplyDeleteThank you Keith for getting back to me.... I apologise but I was convinced because you don't reply here... You are doing some research of sorts.......
ReplyDeleteHummm perhaps I am more cynical that I once thought!
Forgive my less than charitable comment
Oh to see a meteor shower or go parasailing!! It would be a dream! My one big thing is to go to paris and hopefully I will when I turn 30! My lil piggie bank will be full by then! I hope! =)
ReplyDeleteI should write a bucket list which would include some things I would have put in one if I wrote it at 18. Luckily I've done a few things (including seeing the Northern Lights). Sadly I haven't done all of the naked ones, though.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, Keith, this list is so ambitious. I think you should just pick one or two things and just do it! Instead of making endless lists ... :)
ReplyDeleteI think you should skip the tattoo. They don't look good on old men. Also, I've been to Ireland, and it was gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteIf you want to save a life, just donate blood. It's the easiest way to do it, plus it's better than me running into the street, and you pushing me out of the way of an oncoming car.
http://joycelansky.blogspot.com
Wow! That's quite a list! I have never written one, but it's an intriguing idea.
ReplyDeleteThat is a mighty hefty bucket list. On you mark, get set, go, time's a wast'n. My bucket list is all done, finish, kaput, finito, the end.
ReplyDeleteI love your bucket list, especially since it includes a lot of seeing exotic places...for example, both Alaska and the Serengeti would have to be on my list. I was entertained with wanting to save someone.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a bucket list like yours but do have things that I have to accomplish. For example, I like to write a will, NOW. It is two years now that I have wanted to write a will. I know that I will achieve my travel goals far easier than other goals. Good luck with that list and hopefully you will share as you go along. : )
Northern lights and Stonehenge are on my list too. Now I'm adding "go on a road trip not knowing the destination". What a great idea!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE IT! You have some great things on there. I need to make one. I always think of all these things I'd put on a bucket list if I had one.. and then I never write them down. Or I write down a couple things and then toss the lists. LOL I need to sit down and do it and keep it somewhere I see it!
ReplyDeleteFinding a way to do all the things I want to do from within : )
ReplyDeleteSounds like many fine things to do.
ReplyDeleteNo, I don't have a bucket list, my life is enough of an adventure already. : )
I've done one of the things on your bucket list.
ReplyDeleteYou have a great bucket list. What have you scratched off as completed? I still have traveling on mine. I have reached the age where procrastination is a dirty word so I try to accomplish one every month or so. I do cheat though and pick the easy ones to do first.
ReplyDeleteGreat list! To save a life pretty much took my breath away.
ReplyDeleteYou would love Alaska!
Having a bucket list means you are going to die, and I have no time for such idiocy...I've got too much to do ;).
ReplyDeleteGreat list!!! :) I have a bunch of things on my bucket list, but here are a few of the ones that really stick out:
ReplyDelete* Take my parents and siblings on a vacation. They (my parents) have both worked two jobs as long as I have remembered to take care of all 5 of us children and we have never had a family vacation.
* See Mumford and Sons in concert.
* Go on a hot air balloon ride! :)
Cheers!
Kayla
I don't have a defined direction to my life as of yet, so I guess I have to get that and make a bucket list first :-)
ReplyDeleteYou have penned a great bucket list, and it shows the different aspects of your personality. Like the wish for swimming with dolphins and getting to a debt-free condition :-)
I enjoyed your list. Writing it down makes it official and must compel you to want to begin. I myself don't have a list.
ReplyDeleteI have a small bucket list - have done a couple things and have a couple more I'd love to do - I wish I could spend a month in Greece. sandie
ReplyDeleteLoving your list!! I all ready have a few of these things accomplished :) And I think you can scratch off 'save a life' -- I truly believe you do that daily with your words on here -- you have no idea how much I believe that :)
ReplyDeleteI cannot even count the number of road trips we went on without knowing the destination. My husband is like that. He does not believe in planning.
ReplyDeleteI did not write a bucket list. If I did I must have forgotten.
May be make a trip to India, specially after see the movie "The best Exotic Marigold Hotel"
That looks like a very fun list - and mostly doable. I think I'd like to do just about all of them. Although winding up in a position where I'd need to save someone's life is a little scary to me - I just hope I'd be able to do it!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great list Keith. I would love to visit Ireland, England too and I would add Scotland to the list.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a list but I can tell you going on a road trip with no destination is the best. I would like to do that again. One thing I would put on the list is to visit Paris.
ReplyDeleteI have always wanted to swim with dolphins. Also, one day I would love to go to Japan. When i was young, my family hosted an exchange student from Japan and I've been in love with with the country ever since. And my best friend is Vietnamese so I would really like to get to Vietnam and visit her home country.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to publish a book too. :)
Love it all. You made some good choices. I would sail across an ocean. =]
ReplyDeleteChristmas in England is wonderful, but FYI...crazy expensive! Love the list!
ReplyDeleteI love bucket lists. A few from min include: go on a cross country road trip (taking detours whenever wanted), ride in a hot air balloon, Marry my best friend, hold a sloth.. and many more. love your list by the way. A few of your items are on my list as well.
ReplyDeleteKeith I hope you do most of these. However how will you find the time with all this blogging!
ReplyDeleteI am fortunate to have completed some of mine and depart today for a cycle tour of Czech Republic. At my age you have to get on with it!
Yours is a very long and ambitious list. I have always lacked ambition, hence there are only a couple of things on my list.
ReplyDelete...make a difference in someone's life... love yourself... see beauty... be close to myself and God... Follow my soul and herat, they know what I need. I should not resist them...
ReplyDeleteThe rest is still unwritten :)
PS I keep my fingers for your dreams...
Well, I've done 6.5 of the things on your list - I have only snorkelled on the Barrier Reef!
ReplyDeleteBecause of a crazy interest of H, I'd like to see Narwhal!
Cheers - Stewart M - Melbourne
I don't have anything as comprehensive as this. I just focus on the next big thing until I can tick that off. Otherwise it'd serendipity holds sway.
ReplyDeleteChristmas in England, that's niiiiice! I'd like to do that one, but my list is so short you'd laugh. :) Yours looks fun!
ReplyDeleteBe independently wealthy. :) Your list is awesome! Let me know when you're ready to go kayaking!
ReplyDeleteI would love to spent Christmas in the Philippines, that's all I have on my bucket list right now.. You got some pretty adventurous bucket list. It would be fun!. especially road trip with no destination... good luck:)
ReplyDeleteOk you, these things you 'dared to dream about?' I don't even have the guts to say exactly what is on my bucket list. This is so inspiring and I can't wait to watch you check them off one by one!
ReplyDeleteLOVE!! love life to do lists!!! don't get a tattoo..they hurt like child birth
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on the Bora Bora Keith and you're welcome to spend Christmas at my house whenever you want! :)
ReplyDeleteI don't have a bucket list, though i do intend to complete my novel....
ReplyDeleteThanks Keith, for sharing. I do something similar to a bucket list. I have a vision that I review every year. It's allowed me to move to an island and live in a fantastic city. I am in the profession I want---that was on my list. My vocation allows me to use all of my gifts and more.
ReplyDeleteI'm making a difference with my life and the work I do, that is fulfilling a big part of my vision. Owning a business was on my list; I've accomplished that. I have a fantastic family and amazing friends, that's meeting my relational goals.
The ancient Greeks had a saying, "If you aim at nothing, that's exactly what you get." I find having a vision has helped me to make the most of my life in a loving, non-pressured way. Your bucket list is helping you to do the same.
A few things on my bucket list: Go to Spain, visit relatives; visit France and see others. Visit Israel. Explore one new city a year (I accomplish this). Buy one piece of original art a year (something I do).
I'm surprised you didn't add Yellowstone National Park to your list!
ReplyDeleteI was halfway thinking you were eventually going to head out this way!
I want to build a tiny cabin.
Hang ten on a surfboard.
Spend a month on a beach in Hawaii.
Kayak in British Columbia.
Have a couple of horses.
Retire s o o n.
I've traveled many places in my life but still I'd like to get an around the world ticket and see more.
ReplyDeleteI want to send a message in a bottle too!!!
ReplyDeletexox jean
I make a list of things I want to do in a year, as the timeframe is more realistic and doable ~ But I love your list, as it show your inclination for adventure ~ Good luck~
ReplyDeleteI'd like to see the Northern lights and a duck-billed platypus, but I'll settle for the opportunity to dance at our grandchildren's weddings. (At the rate those little ones are being born into our family, I may have to live forever to accomplish this one...)
ReplyDeleteI have a few of those on my list too! Marathon I crossed off last summer:)
ReplyDeleteHopefully you don't have to save a life! If you want to swim with dolphins, go to Kehena beach on the Big Island of Hawaii. It was one of the best experiences of my life, but it's kind of remote! I think I've lived most of my bucket list! I ran a half marathon, walked on the Inka trail to Macchu Picchu, wrote a book....nothing left to do I guess...he, he!
ReplyDeleteI like your list!!!!! Now go out and live it!! ^_^!
I guess my bucket list is to start a bucket list...because I'm kind of lazy when it comes to thinking about what I'd like to do. ;)
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love this list!!!
ReplyDeleteI have so many things I want to do...
Travel to New Zealand.
Experience India and try to see the Himalayas, which would mean conquering my fear of heights! :)
Publish a book of my poetry and inspirations.
Learn to dance.
Become a yoga teacher and learn more about health and well being on all levels.
Visit Scotland.
Run a marathon.
Well ... I have a few ... will share with you on Facebook :D
ReplyDeleteI don't keep a bucket list but do have a few wishes on a short list...I want to return to London, create a new job.
ReplyDeleteHi Keith...I wrote this post for you! Thanks for all your musings!
ReplyDeletehttp://lessonsfromthemonkimarried.blogspot.com/2013/04/365-inspirations120-awesome-blog_30.html
No bucket list, I've got various inclinations but you've got me thinking if there's any one thing I really want. I think giving up my day job for garden related self employment might be it. Thanks for always making me think :)
ReplyDeleteinteresting bucket list...if you work on being 100 % debt free I am sure you can do most all of your bucket list. I share wanting to see the Northern lights and taking a vacation with out knowing the destination.
ReplyDeleteWow Keith, I'm gonna have to do that. It would be interesting to see what I write down.
ReplyDeleteI came over from Katherine Jenkins' blog and like your bucket list and see it involves a LOT of traveling.
ReplyDeleteMy word for the year is dream so I had to see your blog and say hi.
Awesome! But why Christmas in England? Cold, windy.. not fun from what I experienced.. But all the best, may your list gets fulfilled. :)
ReplyDeleteI won't be able to complete anything on my bucketlist until I get more money. :(
ReplyDeleteHave been fortunate to do a few things on your list. High on my list is to take singing lessons and perform my original songs at cafes using harmonica, guitar and keyboards.
ReplyDeleteno bucket list yet.. but one thing I'm sure like yours it'll have lots of traveling :)
ReplyDeleteAdd one of visiting India. Trust me, you won't regret it. :)
ReplyDeleteMy bucket list has the most important thing of touching both the poles. (One at a time :P) and making an old age home as soon as I start earning. Let's see, how well do I keep up to it.
I'm sure you must have conquered a lot of yours.
there was only one time where i jumped in a car with a friend on a long weekend and ended up in chicago (i live in toronto). it was one of the best trips ever!
ReplyDeleteHi Keith .. I hope to get back to travelling - the most important thing for now .. is to get my projects (the show) on the road .. and I'll be a happy bunny!
ReplyDeleteSome of the things you've listed I've been lucky enough to do .. sadly some I'd have to forego - but one thing I'd love to do is take some overview cookery lessons on different cuisines - that'd be cool.
Cheers Hilary
What is a moonbow? And you realize that, to save a life, somebody needs to be dying in front of you, right? lol. I think I'll skip that one.
ReplyDeleteI think your bucket list is truly inspiring! I hope you manage to do it all.
ReplyDeleteEspecially good luck with learning French. Nothing better than challenging yourself with learning a new language: bonne chance!
What a beautiful list. There are a couple things on it I have done and several I would like to do. I hope you get the chance to do them all.
ReplyDeleteLove your list. We have a few of the same travels we want to do- Ireland, Bora Bora, swim with dolphins. I also want to spend Christmas in NYC, hopefully this year. I want to spend a few days at a beach and just get up every day, head to the beach, read, have a drink with an umbrella in it, walk in the water every so often - just a day or two in paradise.
ReplyDeleteI have several tattoos. Don't do it...just saying...
ReplyDeleteI want to go to Bora Bora too. I also want to swim with dolphins this summer. I think dolphins is a closer goal to reach than Bora Bora.
Listen to Elsie. She knows. Draw a picture on the wall instead.
DeleteJust been to Bora Bora in my time-machine. CLICK
ReplyDeleteLove that bucket list.
That is a pretty amazing bucket list... and I love that everything on there is something that you could do! Spending Christmas in England sounds especially lovely!
ReplyDeleteOurs is pretty much fulfilled, minus an Amazon River cruise. There are several do-agains...including a Moho trip out west this summer. We love traveling...
ReplyDeleteImpressive list, Keith! I'd love to see you take your ballroom dancing lessons!
ReplyDeleteKept my list reasonably likely but I'd rather like to learn to ice skate, meet Judge Judy, see both sides of Holland - museums and galleries during the day, Red Light district (looking not touching) at night, and eat 5 tubs in a row of Haagen Dazs Praline and Cream, ice cream.
Great list! I agree with a lot of your items!! Seeing the northern lights and getting a tattoo are both on my list!
ReplyDeleteGreat list! I do have a bucket list, and it is pretty similar! My number one has been fly in a helicopter for years...but that still hasn't happened. Taking my time, I guess ;)
ReplyDeleteI remember seeing this and following its progression from way back who knows when... I hope that you'll have the chance to complete them all!
ReplyDeleteOMG that is a long, long list .
ReplyDeleteI would like to spend a Christmas in England too :)
I was just inspired by my sister the other week to start a bucket list. Number one is to catch a hellbender! ;)
ReplyDeleteWow, Keith, I am tired now! ha ha! I don't have a bucket list. I go with the flow. Too much pressure trying to accomplish all that. But I do wish you get to cross off some of that list. It is certainly a wonderful list. xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun list!!
ReplyDeleteGreat list! I don't have one but maybe I should start one. Many things on your list would probably be on mine too. One sure item on mine is: Visit Easter Island. I really HAVE to do that! :-)
ReplyDeleteThat is some list! Hope you are able to fulfill all.
ReplyDeleteI guess my great want is to visit the Galapagos Islands - just would love too...
Anna :o]
LOVE your list! I don't have one, but want one! Thank you for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteYay for number 4! And make sure you come to Galway ;-)! Wow, you certainly are the adventurous type. I haven't really made a bucket list as such, but most of the things I want to tick off are to do with art-making (no big adventures for me, although I guess I would travel more if I had the means and would go for sublime nature experiences). I also want to go to a Natalie Merchant concert.
ReplyDeleteHi there, found your blog via Rose from Oz blog. I'm liking the road trip without a destination idea.
ReplyDeleteI have a life list (which I find a bit more friendly then calling it a bucket list even though they're essentially the same thing).
ReplyDeletemy mom made me a list of 160+ books all recommended from family and friends that I'm trying to read.
I have a huge list of places to travel too (every continent, every US state, etc)
I don't have a written bucket list, my goals tend to revolve more around my family and creative endeavours, as well as remaining totally debt free. Being content with the beauty and glory of each day.
ReplyDeleteI too wish to celebrate the New Year’s Eve at Time Squire!
ReplyDeleteA cool bucket list :)
ReplyDeleteI see a lot on your bucket list, that would be on my list also. Such as visiting Ireland, an African safari in the Serengeti, see Australia's barrier reef, Amazon Rainforest, Victoria Falls and seeing the Northern Lights. I think I need to win the Powerball tonight.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great list, lots of variety! I feel extremely blessed when I realize I've had the privilege of already having ticked off a number of these things for myself! I do like a couple of your ideas though and think I'll have to add them to my own list!
